Spinal Disorders and Back Pain

Spinal disorders are a very common problem and are usually caused by the degeneration of the spine or intervertebral discs.
Intervertebral discs consist of a soft internal core surrounded by a relatively firm elastic outer ring. They form the connection between 2 vertebral bodies and possess few or no blood vessels (blood capillaries) and, therefore, a weak metabolic activity.

Cartilage Degeneration

Healthy cartilage surrounding the intervertebral discs regenerates constantly, preventing damage to the back. If this regeneration process is disturbed, it can cause degeneration of the cartilage. This can lead to painful herniated discs – most common in the neck and lower back – causing severe radiating pain, tingling, numbness, muscular movement disorders and, in extreme cases, paralysis.

Most therapeutic treatments target pain relief, using painkillers, inflammatory inhibitors or muscle relaxants that involve injections or intravenous infusions coupled with physiotherapy. However, in these cases, the degeneration of the cartilage continues and can lead to chronic back pain, often resulting in the need for surgery.

How MBST Treats Spinal Disorders & Back Pain

Unsuccessful therapy attempts have a strong negative impact on the quality of life and often lead to depression, anxiety and a restricted movement.

MBST® directly targets the cartilage degeneration, offering pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. It stimulates cartilage regrowth by transferring energy to the targeted area in order to regenerate the damaged osseous and the cartilaginous cells of the spinal column and the intervertebral discs. By increasing the metabolism of the intervertebral discs and re-triggering the body’s own repair mechanisms and regeneration processes, MBST® reduces pain, and improves mobility.
